When we started this band all we needed was a laugh.
Years gone by I'd say we kicked some ass...

Friends, Romans countrymen and people who's email addresses I stole,

After 4 years of blood sweat and beers locus of control are no more. We've had the best of times. The brainbending highs and the puke inducing lows. We've sent postcards from every unheard of crappy town in the country from the Isle of Arran to Plymouth. We came into your houses via the radiowaves and the TVwaves (?) and we were able to do this thanks to you...

Thanks to everyone who helped us in any way, whether it was coming to a show, buying a record lending us a fiver or talking about us loudly in a pub. We've had the privilege of making music rather than faxing letters or folding clothes for the last four years and for that we are all eternally grateful.

Of course we wouldn't leave without saying goodbye - and what better way to say goodbye than a massive awesome uk tour? We're putting the locus name to bed the only way it would be right to - In the van - on the road - with you...

So come out and see us. We'll be playing old ones, new ones, borrowed ones and blue ones. There'll be thrills, spills and VERY BIG surprises. We'll end the band the way it should be ended and we'd love you to come out and do it with us.

Sat 29th APRIL - STOKE - The Glebe
Wed 3rd May - BATH - Moles Club

BREED X TOUR - In association with BIG CHEESE MAGAZINE

Fri 19th May - PONTYPRIDD - Sanctuary
Wed 24th May - LEEDS - Vine
Thu 25th May - BEDFORD - Esquires
Fri 26th May - BIDEFORD - Zephyr Bar
Sat 27th May - CHATHAM - Tap n Tin
Sat 3rd June - LUTON - University
Sun 4th June - SOUTHAMPTON - Joiners
Fri 16th June - LINCOLN - Bivouac
Sat 17th June - MEXBOROUGH - Civic

So thank you to every promoter who booked us for a show, all the bands we've ever shared a stage with, everyone who came out of their nice warm houses to come and see us in nasty cold clubs. You'll see us all again. We've got music to make.

Thank you.

Goodnight.

see you on tour.

(locus have left the building)

Hello Chaps,

Just to let you know that we're working on some hella sick ('good') new tunes for the next release and lining up some sweet (also 'good') shows for y'all ('you all'). We've been cooling our heels for too long and we're hungry for the stink of our van again, so keep checking the usual places for new gig dates etc and make sure you write them down on your hand so you can come to them and bro down with us at the merch stand.

Also, we still have a Metallica-beating, Metal Hammer and Rock Sound approved album for sale , so direct Mr.Browser to the 'shop' tab on your left or pop into HMV and splash the cash then get down to a show and sing like your little life depended on it.

Because ours actually do.

Locus xxxx

Yoyoyoyoyoyoyo,

So, we've escaped from the studio after completting the first stint of pre production of our latest and greatest tunes yet. It's already sounding massive. Youz are all gonna love it we promise. In other news Spunx isn't dying nearly as much as he used to be, Jim's hair is thinking about joining the marines and Matt and Spen are in a Stovie-off that will no doubt lead to dual infertility - and beyond.

01.02.06

Merry Christmas Control Freaks! Locus are being interviewed on BBC Radio Shropshire tonight on the Greg Dukeson show (around 6 p.m). If you weren't lucky enough to get some sort of fucking DAB digital MP-pod for Christmas you can listen to it here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/england/radioshropshire/

Or 96 FM if you're in the Shropshire area yo.

see you in 2006 buddies

Hey kids. We're currently locked in at our mega-cold rehearsal studios slamming together some new masterpieces for the follow up to TABWOASS. It's sounding killer and there's gonna be some crackers ready for your approval soon. When we've got 'em polished and primed you'll be the first to hear 'em... Watch this space.

04.11.05

Yoyo! Hows it going buddies? We've been offline for a while because The Man at our internets company was oppressing us REAL hard. Anyhoo we're back on t'internet now so drop us some love bombs on the guestbook and make sure you dont pick up any used sparklers on friday EVEN if they look cold.

What happens if you eat too much beetroot? What happens if you start wearing drainpipe jeans before 9.00AM? What happens if you stand up on long bus journeys? What happens if you like a girl and express it in the wrong way? What happens if you have a bath that's too hot? What happens if you eat your steak too rare? What happens if you drink too much cherry coke??

You get a kidney infection and go to hospital instead of Scotland.

Yaa Boo. Seems obvious when it's written down doesn't it?!

AWOOGA INDEED! Tour is over and this means three things (so far):

1) We've met loadsa cool people and made some awesome new buddies who we must keep in touch with.
b) Matt (guitars) will be writing up a tour diary which will be posted on this site so we can reminisce over times gone by...!
iii) I have shaved off my tour beard and it will be on eBay presently. I have put a reserve of 250 large on it, which i think is a generous start. I have stuck it to a piece of brightly coloured card in its original shape and crudely drawn in the rest of my face with a chewed up marker.

We will be recording a couple of demos in the next few weeks, if enough of you are interested we will stick a tune on MySpafe.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR MORE STREET TEAMS!!! We had such a good response this tour that if anyone is interested in guest list places and some free goodies etc. email us at info@locusofcontrol.co.uk or click the thingy if you like...

We are also going to start selling DIRECTLY off this site soon, so if you aint got a copy of the album yet you can PayPal it off here.
